Kavitha Rao is the Country Commercial manager for IKEA India. She comes with 20 years of experience in consumer and retail sectors, having been in leadership positions in both operating and consulting roles.

 

Kavitha has been with IKEA in India for the past 5 years working to set up the India supply chain in the early years as well as lead market entry initiatives for key markets, before taking on the country commercial manager position. In her current role, Kavitha is responsible for sales, marketing, home furnishing, customer experience and food businesses. Her top priorities are to establish the IKEA brand position in India, drive extraordinary growth and long-term profitability for the business. Kavitha has a strong passion for developing the people and business together.

 

In her spare time, Kavitha loves travelling and is into high altitude mountain climbing, having summitted a few peaks over 5500 m across the world. She shares her experiences through her blogs on travel and retail.
